RV Marion Dufresne

A vessel of the French Polar Institute IPEV, the Marion Dufresne is one of the largest oceanographic ships in the world fleet.

In order to support the IUCN FFEM-SWIO project in its scientific component, the experts of the Walters Shoal campaign will make full use of her capacity and research capabilities.

The Marion Dufresne will lead scientists in the international waters of the South West Indian Ocean during 26 days, and head 700 km off the southern coast of Madagascar.
